Stephane Kasriel is a seasoned technology executive currently serving as the VP, FAIR Foundations at Meta. In this role, he leads product, engineering, and various technical teams within Meta's Fundamental AI Research (FAIR) division. FAIR is a core part of Meta's long-term AI strategy, focused on pushing the boundaries of artificial intelligence through both fundamental and applied research, which has included the development of foundational models like Llama.
Prior to joining Meta, Kasriel was the CEO of Upwork, and also held leadership roles at PayPal. He holds an MBA from INSEAD, a Master of Science in computer science from Stanford, and a BS from École Polytechnique in France.
