Biography

Simon Hill is the CEO of Wazoku, a global innovation company empowering organisations to activate human intelligence at scale through its pioneering idea management, open innovation, and decision intelligence solutions.

Simon is responsible for leading Wazoku’s transformation into a global category leader, powering innovation across more than 40 countries and building the world’s most established open innovation community through the Innocentive global crowd of more than 700,000 solvers. Under his leadership, Wazoku has seen extraordinary international expansion, including 1,500% growth in the GCC region in the past year, with the Middle East now one of the company’s most dynamic and rapidly scaling markets. This is all achieved via a partnership model utilising local GCC firms to support with landing and scaling in the region.

Simon is the author of three books on innovation and leadership, including Expected Value, released in September 2025, which explores how organisations can operationalise innovation performance through better data, better decisions, and better portfolio intelligence. His earlier works helped introduce and popularise the concept of Total Innovation, now adopted by organisations worldwide as a holistic approach to culture, strategy, and value creation.

A regular speaker on innovation, AI, and the future of work, Simon delivers keynotes globally and contributes articles for Forbes. He is a Visiting Fellow at the University of East London and an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at INSEAD.
Outside of Wazoku, Simon supports emerging founders, contributes to innovation standards development, and enjoys football, travel, and time with his family.
