Sanjay Guglani is the Founder & Chief Investment Officer of Silverdale Funds.
Sanjay has over 34 years of investment experience managing over a billion-dollars across: Silverdale Bond Fund, Silverdale Credit Opportunities Fund, Silverdale India USD Bond Fund, Silverdale Target Return Funds, and Silverdale Bespoke Funds.
Silverdale Funds have been among the top-performing funds globally, winning several accolades from Wealth Briefing Asia, HFM, Eurekahedge, AI Hedge Funds, Wealth & Finance, Investors’ Choice, Bloomberg, Asian Private Banker, Preqin, Backstop BarclayHedge, Global Business Magazine, etc.
Earlier, at Silverdale UK, his firm channelized over US$ 4 billion of investments into emerging markets, including in joint venture with Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and Lehman Brothers. He was instrumental in creating credit derivatives and convertible bonds market for Indian mid-caps. Prior to that, he founded several capital market ventures for GE Capital. Sanjay commenced his professional career in 1990 by launching one of the first retail portfolio management schemes in India.
Investing is a passion for Sanjay, and he has been a frequent guest lecturer at various business schools. His expert opinions are widely sought by media, from The Wall Street Journal to Economic Times India, The Straits Times Singapore, Business Times Singapore to The Yield Report Australia, from CNBC, MoneyFM, CNA, Bloomberg to ET Now. He has delivered presentations at several forums, including at the United Nations.
By qualification, Sanjay is a Chartered Accountant, Management Accountant, Company Secretary, and Sloan Fellow of Management from the London Business School (as British Chevening Scholar).
