Rene Griemens, INSEAD MBA July 1999, is Chief Financial Officer of Antora Energy. Antora builds and deploys thermal batteries to power always-on industrial operations with low-cost renewable energy. Rene is a seasoned finance executive with over 30 years of experience in technology growth, investment banking, and strategy consulting.
Rene has grown successful hardware companies from early growth to several hundred employees and has led over 120 financial transactions, including three IPO processes. Rene previously served as CFO at Mighty Buildings, Volocopter, and Kreditech, where he raised over $2 billion in equity and debt and built finance departments from scratch. Previously, Rene held positions at McKinsey & Co and Citibank.
Rene holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Master’s in Economics from the University of Cologne. Rene is fluent in German and Portuguese and is driven by a passion for sustainability, clean energy, and transformative technology.
