Founding Partner at Kadan Capital and President of the Murakami Family Foundation
Rei Murakami Frenzel is the President of the Murakami Family Foundation and the Founding Partner of Kadan Capital. She began her career at Mitsubishi Corporation in oil trading before joining her family foundation, where she took on the role of President with a particular focus on addressing the gender gap and advancing opportunities for women in Japan.
Building on this work, Rei launched Kadan Capital, a venture capital firm that invests in early-stage startups across Asia with a strong emphasis on fintech and AI.
In addition to her roles at the foundation and Kadan Capital, Rei serves as an advisor at the Global Financial Technology Network (GFTN). Rei holds a BA in Law and Politics from Keio University and an MBA from INSEAD.
