Mr Cavalla joined Talisman Global Asset Management in November 2018 as Chief Executive Officer, with overall responsibility for the investment process, including asset allocation, investment due diligence and manager selection.
For the previous eleven years he was CIO of the University of Cambridge, overseeing the management of the long-term financial assets of the University, including its endowment fund of £3.1bn.
Between 1997 and 2007 Mr Cavalla was employed by Man Investments, latterly as CIO of Man Global Strategies, one of the three multi-manager alternative investment divisions within Man Group plc.
Previously Nick was a director of the derivatives broker GNI Limited and the fund manager responsible for a systematic hedge fund investing in developed foreign exchange markets.
His earlier career included periods working for County NatWest Investment Management and Touche Ross & Co, where he qualified as a chartered accountant.
He is also a qualified corporate treasurer and a graduate in mathematics of King's College, Cambridge.
