After completing her Swiss Federal Maturity with a bilingual distinction (French/German), Marie pursued Economics and Management studies at Bocconi University in Milan. She furthered her education with a Master's in Sustainable Development at King's College in London.
Various internships in real estate, culture, and environmental sectors took her to cities like New York, Dallas, Buenos Aires, and Belize. Marie then joined the groundbreaking Solar Impulse mission with Bertrand Piccard and André Borschberg, driven by the impactful deployment of clean technologies.
In 2018, Marie joined the SPG Group alongside her father, Thierry Barbier-Mueller, after two years in commercial real estate in Zurich. Taking the reins of the company in 2023 alongside her sister Valentine, Marie represents the third generation of the family at the helm of this legacy.
