Lorna Rutto is a social entrepreneur with a vision to have a Green Africa free from poverty. She is Founder and CEO of EcoPost, a Social Enterprise that creates sustainable jobs for people in the marginalized communities and conserve the environment. The social enterprise addresses the challenges of chronic unemployment, plastic pollution, deforestation and climate change. Expertise in business development, sales, circularity and sustainability with 14+ years’ experience.
So far, Lorna has created over 100 direct and 12,000 indirect jobs, recycled 13 Million Kgs of plastic waste preventing it from ending up in landfills, oceans or being burned up polluting the environment. Converted it into alternative products to timber which has saved 4,300 Acres of forest and prevented 160 Million Kgs of CO2 emissions from the environment further mitigating climate change.
