Biography
Josephine Teo, EdD, is an Instructional Coach with iLITE, and works with faculty on their teaching development. She coaches both new and experienced faculty from learning design and delivery to personal discovery in role and development.
She also directs and teaches in a teaching preparation programme for INSEAD PhD students, conducts regular presentation workshops, and coaches PhD students for conferences and job talks. In addition, Josephine consults and coaches in the Personal Leadership Development Programme, which is designed to help INSEAD MBA students develop self-awareness and interpersonal skills towards working with others more effectively, as part of their leadership journey.
Josephine has about 30 years of work experience in both public and private sectors, including over 10 years in the education industry. Before joining INSEAD, she taught in a polytechnic in Singapore, developed and conducted leadership and communication courses for corporate executives in several Asian countries. She also facilitated and coached potential adult educators and instructional designers and developers in Singapore’s nationally-accredited Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment, and Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education programmes.
Prior to her journey in coaching, education and training, Josephine's corporate experiences included industry promotion work with Singapore Economic Development Board, and held management and leadership positions in marketing and corporate communications in both public and private sector organisations. Her work led her to projects in Asia and the Middle East.
For her individual and group coaching work, Josephine brings with her a global and systems perspectives, her interest in systems psychodynamics, and her passion in learning and development.
Josephine holds an EdD (Educational Leadership and Change) from the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University; an MBA from Ivey Business School, University of Western Ontario (now Western University); a BFA in Film Production from Tisch School of the Arts, New York University; a Specialist Diploma in Sports and Exercise Sciences from Republic Polytechnic, Singapore; a Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education from the Institute for Adult Learning; and INSEAD Coaching Certificate. Professionally, she is a credentialed Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), a certified coach supervisor, a Certified Professional Corporate Coach, and Team Transformation Certified Coach. She is also a volunteer leader with the ICF Singapore Chapter Board.
