Johnny is CEO of the family owned Twynam Investments, founded in the early 1970’s by John Kahlbetzer. Johnny has been a director since 1987 and COO/CEO since 1991, transforming the business from what was one of Australia’s and Argentina’s largest agricultural producers of cotton, wheat, rice, wool and beef, to a multi-generational, multi-asset family office today.
Over the last decade since largely exiting from the agricultural industry, focus has shifted to a portfolio of predominantly venture capital, mining and property investments. However, Johnny still has an affinity with agriculture with a focus on breeding world leading, genetically more feed efficient cattle, minimising the footprint of beef.

We invest in businesses with teams that are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, smart enough to work out how and gutsy enough to do it.
