Jing Liao

Jing Liao is Chairwoman of The Solera Foundation and Chief Administration Officer at Solera. She is a visionary leader celebrated for transforming the transportation industry, she has built powerful alliances, fostered a high-performance culture, and championed sustainable business practices on a global scale.

She is also a General Partner at Vista Equity Partners, a prestigious private equity firm specializing in enterprise software investments with over $100 billion under management. Before dedicating herself full-time to Solera (a Vista company), Jing was a Managing Director at Vista, where she oversaw talent practices across all of the firm’s portfolio companies.

At the core of her impact is the creation of the Global Circularity Consortium (GCC), a first-of-its-kind, global-scale initiative that brings together insurers, OEMs, dealers, repairers, recyclers, fleets, academia, and governments to redefine how the industry operates. By connecting traditionally fragmented sectors, the GCC is establishing a new blueprint for circularity, sustainability, and economic efficiency, setting a new definition for how industries collaborate at scale and driving systemic change across the transportation lifecycle. The GCC plants a tree for each member, growing the GCC forest to symbolize and scale this collective impact.

Under her leadership, Solera, the digital powerhouse managing over 5 petabytes of car activity-based data, has undergone a remarkable transformation. Solera now serves as the transportation industry’s only comprehensive data technology backbone, driving innovation, connectivity, and change across the sector.

Jing founded The Solera Foundation and WINS (Women in Solera), which have become pivotal to Solera’s evolution into a force for a greener, healthier, and more digital future for the transportation industry and its adjacent sectors. Through the Foundation’s four pillars: advancing women, driving sustainability, strengthening safety and security, and supporting mental health and resilience, her impact continues to scale globally. Her steadfast commitment to empowering diverse leaders in a traditionally male-dominated field is unparalleled. Additionally, she is passionate about preparing young adults for professional success by fostering mental readiness and resilience through Solera’s SEED (Self Enhancement & Emphasized Development) Program.

Under her leadership, Solera has established impactful partnerships with countries, national trade associations, top academia, and law enforcement agencies, enabling these sectors to achieve groundbreaking progress. The Solera Foundation also founded the first-ever global Women in Insurance initiative (WIINS), and Women in Dealerships (WIND) as well as the first-ever Leadership Academy for the Women of Color Automotive Network. Her vision has set new benchmarks for innovation, sustainability, efficiency, safety, security, and inclusion.

Jing is a trained chemist from Peking University. She also earned a Masters degree from the Carlson School of Management. She is also a proud graduate of the Stanford Board Sustainability Program at the Doerr School of Sustainability, further reflecting her commitment to advancing sustainable leadership at scale. Beyond her operating role at Solera, she actively serves in multiple board roles across academia, investment firms, and business organizations.
