Holger is an Executive Coach and besides his coaching activities, he is responsible for the “Career Services” of the German alumni association of INSEAD (including a programme for future supervisory board members) and is a senior lecturer at TUM in Munich.

Holger Karsten works as an executive coach with great enthusiasm and brings a wealth of more than 35 years of experience and a clear own stand into his work. Holger is business- and results oriented and can switch easily with high role flexibility between the roles of coach, consultant and sparring partner.
Holger started his business career with AUDI AG, gaining deep insights into the automotive industry as assistant to the board member in charge of production (level “Abteilungsleiter” and with 30 years youngest “leitender Angestellter” of the VW- group).
Having become a management consultant, he built up the European Automotive practice as Vice President of Arthur D. Little, ran their largest German office as Managing Director and was head of the European HR- Committee.
As one of the Managing Directors in the Frankfurt Office of Merrill Lynch, he gained extensive experience in the Financial Services-segment, especially Investment Banking, namely M&A and Corporate Finance; this work was by nature global and included intensive teamwork across cultural and continental borders.
Afterwards he returned to top-management consulting and worked for AT Kearney and as partner for Accenture, before he became Managing Partner / shareholder of Leadership Choices, a management consulting firm focussing on executive development.
