Biography
Dr. Ruchi Dana is a physician-turned-entrepreneur and business leader who sits on several corporate and startup boards, including Dana Group (UAE) and Robotic Startup, Duluth Medical Technologies (US), OrisDx (US).
She earned her MD from AMU and a full-time MBA from Stanford University, along with a PMP Certificate in Public Management & Social Innovation. She has investing experience with Golden Seeds (NY) and New Silk Route (Dubai), MFV Partners (Silicon Valley), focusing on AI and DeepTech investments. Ruchi has been recognized by Forbes Middle East (Next Generation Business Leader 2017–2019; Forbes Top Power Businesswomen 2020), Forbes Healthcare leader 2024, 2025 and by Campden Wealth (“Women to Watch,” Top 75 Family Business Leaders).
Since joining Dana Group, Ruchi has been instrumental in launching value-added steel manufacturing (2008), as well as the lubricants/grease and retail/real-estate divisions (2014). During the 2008–2009 financial crisis, she helped steer Dana Group through turbulence with a strategic emphasis on innovation, Tech and value-addition.
Today, Ruchi leads Dana AI, a Dubai-based division dedicated to building practical, ethical, and future-ready AI solutions across oil & gas, healthcare, insurance, ESG and climate health—with the goal of redefining enterprise decision-making and delivering measurable business, societal, and environmental impact.
Ruchi is also a partner at MFV Partners, a DeepTech VC in Palo Alto, which has made investments in companies like PsiQuantum, Agility Robotics, Sun Mobility, AkriData, Ati Motors. Ruchi has US patents (granted) on Robotic Surgery and is also on the Advisory Board of Ajman University College of Medicine and Ruchi is the Chair of AEIC’s Core Committee at American University Dubai (AUD) - Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center.
