Prof. Dr. Dominique Delporte - Vermeiren is the founder of Groupe VerDel Holding and the president of VerDel Innovation, a boutique consultancy firm in Corporate Governance, Sustainable Growth strategies and Enterprise Architecture design.  

She is a former,  corporate C- level executive of Dutch listed companies and was the previous owner of Delporte Management & Consultancy DMC BV an international consulting and interim management firm in BPR management and e-commerce . Over the years she has build-up a track record  as Venture partner in several Smart Tech start - ups and scale ups funds. 
She is an internationally recognized academic and former professor Strategic Management from the University of Antwerp,  nowadays researching in the field of Complexity, Resilience, and Innovation.  

Today she is active as board director and consultant, social impact investor,  key-note speaker and policy writer for the Women Economic Forum,  the World Business Angel Forum, and Cluster Digital Africa. 

Since 2011 she serves on international public and private boards as independent board director.     

She is an economist ( 1989) with a PHD in technology management (2003) and an INSEAD alumni since 1994 certified from the Young Managers -, Advanced Management (2011), Blue Ocean Strategy (2010) - and IDP program(2022) and a certified board director from several other international Institutions (i.e. ECODA (2022), Guberna/Febelfin (2019) and Erasmus School of Economics ESSSA  (2011). Due to her long experience in the European tech innovation eco - system and her global advocacy for gender equality, financial & digital inclusion she was nominated as G100 Global chair Humanity, Technology & Innovation in 2023 and recently nominated as board member at the World Smart Cities Economic Development Forum, a G - 20 affiliated partner and senator France for the WBAF.  

Through her global network she opens doors for Fair Tech Policies and Frontier Tech Equity Deployment and recently received an honorary doctorate from Jharkhand Rai University, Ranchi, India for her iconic contribution in the field of technology and innovation.
