Dr. Mathuva, Associate Professor of Accounting and Financial Markets, currently serves as Associate Dean, Academic and Student Affairs at Strathmore University Business School (SBS), where is he also a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Financial Markets. He has previously held key academic leadership roles, including Academic Lead of the MSc in Development Finance Programme, Director, Undergraduate Programme and Faculty Affairs Director. He is also the founding Editor-in-Chief of the Strathmore Africa Case Centre. David holds a PhD in Business Administration (Accounting and Finance), a Master of Commerce (Forensic Accounting) and he is a member of Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and a Fellow of Higher Education Academy, UK. Apart from his previous corporate experience in the financial services sector in KPMG where he has been consulted for various corporations within the East African region, David has also taught for 13 years at both academic, professional, and corporate/executive levels, involving in speaking engagements in the international accounting and finance conferences and has since published several research articles.
