Biography
Daniel Lalonde is CEO and director of SMCP, global player in the apparel and accessories with three Parisian fashion brands, Sandro, Maje and Claudie Pierlot.
Daniel Lalonde joined SMCP in 2014 after a 25-year international career in retail and luxury. In his last position, he was President of Ralph Lauren International, based in New York.
Prior to that, he spent 10 years at LVMH, where he held the posts of President & CEO of LVMH Watches & Jewelry North America, and later President & CEO of Louis Vuitton North America, and lastly President & CEO of Moët & Chandon globally. Prior to joining LVMH, Daniel Lalonde was most notably Global Chief Operating Officer of Nestlé Nespresso SA, in Lausanne, and President & CEO of Nespresso North America.
His earlier experience includes strategy consulting assignments in consumer goods and technology.
Daniel Lalonde holds an MBA from INSEAD (France) where he currently serves on the Board of Directors. He received a Bachelor of Mathematics degree with Honors from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada.
