Arabelle de Saussure is an Industrial Liaison Manager and researcher at the Chair of Circular Engineering for Architecture (CEA) at ETH Zurich. The Chair specializes in leveraging digital innovations to facilitate the transition to a circular economy in the built environment. This encompasses advanced digital methods for reality capture, data management and tracking and tracing of building components.
In her work, Arabelle tackles transdisciplinary challenges to bring about systemic change by addressing legal, economic, and technological issues in the adoption of circular construction. Prior to ETH Zurich, she worked for several years in industry, as a civil engineer and as a consultant in sustainable construction. She was involved in large-scale projects in Switzerland, Europe, and India. She holds an MSc in civil engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) and completed her Master's thesis at MIT.
