Biography
Alice Breeden is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles’ London office and a member of the global leadership team. She is co-regional managing partner of the CEO & Board of Directors Practice in Europe and Africa and leads work with boards and senior leadership teams worldwide on a wide range of talent advisory issues. Alice has more than twenty years of experience working at the senior executive and board level in some of the world’s largest and most complex organisations. Alice is published on the topic of board effectiveness, including contributing to the World Economic Forum debate.
Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Alice led the People Operations for Google in EMEA. Before that, she worked for twelve years in McKinsey’s London office, where, as a partner, she was one of the leaders of the organisation practice worldwide, leading multiple major transformation programmes in the UK public sector, airline, travel and logistics, banking and technology.
Alice began her early career in marketing and communications, working for a number of organizations including American Express.
Alice is published, including contributing to the World Economic Forum debate on How Boards can adapt and thrive in a post-covid world. She has also led the following research and thought pieces: Five challenges facing today’s board Chair: Insights from FTSE Chairs, A Board review that accelerates competitiveness, Future Proofing Your Board, Boards' role in sustaining digital transformation, and What accelerating teams do better.
Alice earned an MBA from London Business School and a bachelor’s degree in English language and literature from the University of Durham.
