CEO of Spinnaker Capital
Alexis Habib is a co-Founder and CEO of Spinnaker Capital, an Emerging Markets focused investment management firm established in 1999. He chairs the Global Investment Committee, and approves all capital allocations made by the firm.
Alexis started his career at Citibank in New York where he became head trader for Emerging Markets debt. In 1991 he co-founded CAIEM, a joint venture with Credit Agricole-Indosuez in charge of creating and developing a global Emerging Markets investment banking and trading activity for the bank.
Alexis has served on various boards and advisory committees, including the Emerging Markets Trade Association and the Center for International Studies at MIT, and is currently a board member of Endeavor Lebanon. He is also involved in a number of charitable institutions, including his family charity which is dedicated to education in Lebanon.
Alexis holds a master’s degree in Economics from Sorbonne University, Paris, and an MBA (81) from INSEAD.
