Mr. Daouda is an investment professional with two decades of experience in driving large-scale social and economic development projects across the African continent. A former CEO of Fonds Gabonais D’Investissements Strategiques, the Sovereign Wealth Fund of Gabon, he oversees the execution of the Fund’s strategy, supporting the government’s plan towards energy transition and biodiversity promotion and protection, including leading the world’s first and largest ever carbon credits issuance by a sovereign wealth fund. A leading African climate finance pioneer, Mr. Daouda holds active roles on several corporate and advisory boards focused on unlocking investment and support engagement with African financial institutions such as the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ) African Network and Union Gabonaise de Banque, a subsidiary of Morocco’s Attijariwafabank and Gabon’s second largest bank. Mr. Daouda is also a recipient of the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders award and the Tutu Fellowship Programme.
