Director in the Global Sustainability Group, Gap Inc.
Agata Smeets is a Director in the Global Sustainability Group at Gap Inc.’s Hong Kong headquarters, where she is responsible for setting environmental sustainability strategy for the company’s sourcing organization. She works with numerous internal and external stakeholders to advance the company’s water and climate initiatives, including reducing water and greenhouse gas consumption across the value chain, shifting to a sustainable fiber portfolio, and driving transparency into Gap Inc.’s supply chain. Ms. Smeets was formerly part of Deloitte Consulting’s Strategy & Operations practice, focusing on sustainable supply chains. She also helped found the Sustainability Forum research effort at the Washington, D.C.-based Corporate Executive Board, which brought together 800 cross-functional executives with an interest in sustainability. Ms. Smeets is a graduate of Yale University and Johnson at Cornell.
