Search by industry name or browse industry headings.

Business Monitor International - BMI - Industry reports by country or region
Select an industry under 'Service', then click on the 'Reports' tab.

Thomson One - Research – Analyst reports with a financial focus.
Under Screening > Research, search by industry code/keyword and specify "industry" as report type. N.B. Only works with Internet Explorer

Identifying companies in an Industry

S&P Capital IQ – Best interface for creating lists. 
Click on 'Screening' then 'Companies'. Under 'Company details' choose "Industry classification ", "Business description" or "Products". Requires a personal login.

Thomson One 
Click on 'Company screener' under the 'Screening' tab. In 'Basic Search' select an industry or type a keyword in 'Business description'. N.B. Only works with Internet Explorer

Click on 'Fund managers' under Private Equity, then 'Advanced search'. Requires a group login.

For saved company sets, choose 'Comparable analysis'.
To compare a company with its peers, start with a company, then choose "Quick comps" 
Requires a personal login.

ORBIS - Financial analysis including concentration, distribution and segmentation.
Create a list by industry, then click on 'Analysis'

Thomson One – Financial analysis for a group of companies in a sector. 
Start with a company, then under the 'Fundamentals' tab, choose 'Comparables'
