Finance and Administration

Our finance, procurement, business transformation office and legal teams play vital roles in supporting the institution's mission and operations. Our finance team manages financial planning, budgeting, reporting, taxes and accounting to ensure financial responsibility and sustainability. In addition, our Risk and Internal Audit team works to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the organisation, to safeguard assets and promote accountability.

Our procurement team oversees the sourcing and acquisition of goods and services, negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Meanwhile, our legal team provides guidance on legal matters, ensuring compliance with regulations and protecting the institution's interests through expert advice and risk management strategies. Together, these teams collaborate seamlessly to uphold INSEAD's standards of excellence and integrity in all financial and legal matters.

The Business Transformation Office (BTO) is a key foundation of INSEAD's Effectiveness and Transformation Programme strategic initiative. The BTO's mission is to identify opportunities, assess relevance, prioritise, and implement projects that enable INSEAD to gain effectiveness and productivity transversally, thus fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, ultimately boosting the school’s performance.

Dean's Office

The Dean's Office encompasses Strategy and Planning, Communications, Board and External Relations, Diversity and Inclusion, as well as our Middle East campus and San Francisco hub. The team plays a pivotal role in supporting the institution's strategic objectives. Reporting directly to senior leadership, the team provides strategic guidance and operational support to ensure alignment and execution of key initiatives across the organization.

This includes driving strategic planning processes, coordinating board activities, and managing external relations to enhance INSEAD's reputation and visibility globally. Additionally, the Diversity and Inclusion team leads efforts to advance diversity and inclusion (D&I) initiatives, working collaboratively with stakeholders to promote a culture of belonging and equality within the institution and beyond.

At INSEAD, our campus development and campus services teams are dedicated to creating an environment that inspires learning, collaboration, and innovation. From the design and construction of state-of-the-art facilities to the maintenance and management of campus amenities, our campus development and campus services professionals ensure that our campuses are equipped to meet the evolving needs of our students, faculty, and staff.

Our campus development team oversees the planning and execution of capital projects, including building renovations, expansions, and new construction initiatives. The team is currently working on an exciting 10-year Europe Campus Renewal project. Working closely with architects, engineers, and contractors, we strive to create modern and functional spaces that enhance the teaching, learning, and research experience at INSEAD. Whether it's designing cutting-edge classrooms, collaborative workspaces, or recreational facilities, our team is committed to creating an environment that fosters creativity, engagement, and academic excellence.

Meanwhile, our campus services team is responsible for providing a wide range of essential services that support the daily operations of our campuses. From facilities management and custodial services to F&B, hospitality services at our INSEAD hotels, our team ensures that our campuses run smoothly and efficiently. They are dedicated to providing a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our community members, facilitating seamless campus experiences and enriching campus life.

"I completed my studies in hotels and catering and have always worked in hospitality in the Fontainebleau area. But INSEAD is so multicultural that it feels as if I have an international career! The school’s Residences are very different from your typical tourist or business hotels, which I greatly appreciate and enjoy.

Currently, I lead a team of around 16 people, all working at the Ermitage, Clos St Merry and – when the renovations are complete – the Viatte. We welcome programme participants and other guests, such as faculty and staff, and always aim to provide the best customer service. For me, the hotel business is a job that involves discipline, reactivity and a true sense of service."
