During his graduate studies in New York, Hugo worked as a research assistant. He has also worked as a data analyst at BRG Enterprise in London. Before starting his PhD, he worked as a predoctoral assistant for the Stone Center of Wealth Inequality at INSEAD. He is currently working on a research project about minimum wages and health insurance. His main research interest is in building models and taking them to data, particularly search and matching models.
