Andrew Shipilov, Associate Professor of Strategy and Akzo Nobel Fellow at INSEAD, is the Director of the INSEAD Blue Ocean Strategy Open Enrolment Programme, which he has led since 2010. Under Professor Shipilov’s direction, the Programme has welcomed participants from 59 nations with professional backgrounds in over 40 industries ranging from financial services to industrial manufacturing, to consumer goods, to health care, and to public administration. Professor Shipilov’s teaching on BOS also extends to various customised programmes on BOS at INSEAD, including for example Sberbank of Russia. In research, Professor Shipilov is an expert in the areas of strategy, innovation and networks. His book "The Network Advantage" was published in January 2014.

Affiliated Professor of Practice in Strategy
Fares Boulos is an Affiliated Professor of Practice in Strategy at INSEAD. Professor Boulos has taught Blue Ocean Strategy at INSEAD for over 10 years. Besides the INSEAD Blue Ocean Strategy Programme, for which he is a core member of the teaching team, he has also taught the Blue Ocean Strategy GEMBA/TIEMBA Elective and a number of INSEAD’s customized programmes on BOS for companies in The Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia. He is the author of the just released case, “Justin Trudeau Wins 2015 Canada Election: Creating a Blue Ocean in Politics.”

Senior Affiliate Professor of Strategy
Neil Jones is a Senior Affiliate Professor of Strategy at INSEAD and has been the Director of the INSEAD BOS Open Enrolment Programme in Abu Dhabi since 2010. Professor Jones has also led customized INSEAD BOS executive education courses. He has taught Business Strategy and Management widely in North America, Europe, and Asia in both INSEAD’s MBA and Executive Programmes, and has taught and consulted at a wide range of companies including Fuji-Xerox, IBM, Nokia, 3M, 3i, Sun, Johnson and Johnson, Shell, SAP, Allianz, DKSH, Hewlett-Packard, Alcatel, India Rail, SingTel and United Technologies.
Adjunct Professor of Strategy
Michael Shiel is an Adjunct Professor of Strategy at INSEAD and a member of the core team teaching the INSEAD Blue Ocean Strategy open-enrolment program. Outside INSEAD, Professor Shiel has also taught Blue Ocean Strategy to executives at other institutions including IESE (Barcelona), Vlerick Business School (Ghent), the Hong Kong University for Science and Technology, and the Scandinavian International Management Institute (Copenhagen). He has consulted and taught Blue Ocean Strategy to a range of companies including Nestle, Starwood Hotels, Fortis Bank and Pfizer.
Adjunct Professor at INSEAD
Lauren Mathys is a senior member of the Blue Ocean Strategy Network and an experienced practitioner of BOS. She has personally implemented approximately 40 BOS projects and programs in organizations all over the world in a wide range of industries. Professor Mathys has been involved in the BOS OEP Programme since 2010, complementing the professors of the program in the form of individual and group work to provide practical know-how, real-life application experience tips, and “things to watch out for” to successfully implement BOS initiatives.

Associate Professor of Strategy
Guoli Chen is an Associate Professor of Strategy at INSEAD. He received his PhD in Strategic Management from the Pennsylvania State University. He teaches Strategy, Value Innovation, Incentives Design, and Corporate Governance courses to the MBA, PhD, and Executive Education programme participants.
