We manage people and not paper, so it is an absolutely brilliant programme. It’s one of the best and most useful with relevance to my day-to-day job.

Localisation is not just about translating words - it is about ensuring cultural relevance and authenticity.

Leading Across Borders and Cultures have taught me the nuances between cultures and it shines a light on something that is so vital in Asia that people don’t realise. 

As organisations expand globally, one of the key challenges is aligning organisational culture with the diverse cultural traits of the countries we operate in. While it’s crucial to maintain a cohesive culture rooted in the ethos of the parent company, it’s equally important to respect and embrace local cultures. 

‘Give cultural diversity a voice.’ Through the programme I learnt that It's not just about having diversity, but about ensuring everyone can share their ideas and concerns.

This programme deepened my understanding of working as a global leader across cultures. It heightened my awareness of my own context and that of others, teaching me to honour my authenticity while respecting diverse perspectives on a much deeper level.

At the end of the day, you have to really ask yourself - why you are doing this and what are you aiming to get? How committed are you to act based on based on the learnings? 

I think it’s worth your time because it changes your mindset. It doesn’t necessarily change your income or lifestyle right away – but your mindset, which later will change everything in your life, is changed. Right away.

I have gained so much more awareness and understanding of cultural differences, and I have learned to approach interactions with far greater sensitivity and to manage tensions far more effectively. I’ve learned to think and to plan ahead when I am meeting with new clients and that, in turn, has really boosted my confidence and leadership.
