Overview

Family Enterprise Day

The Henokiens: From Remarkable Success to Lasting Legacy

Rooted in family traditions defined by strong personal values instilled in the business, and cultures that inspire trust and loyalty to “know-how”, members of the Hénokiens Associations represent some of the world's oldest family enterprises today that have enjoyed more than two centuries of long-lasting success riding through turbulent times and thriving across generations.

To understand the key elements that contribute to the enduring growth, prosperity and resilience across different generations of Henokiens family enterprises, the INSEAD Wendel International Centre for Family Enterprise in collaboration with the Hénokiens Association is jointly hosting the Family Enterprise Day focused on the theme "The Henokiens: From Remarkable Success to Lasting Legacy". The event will take place at the INSEAD Fontainebleau campus on Friday, 23 September 2022 from 9:00am to 2:00pm (CEST).

Join us for a stimulating half-day conference as we bring together academic experts, distinguished family enterprise members from the Hénokiens Association and INSEAD MBA students, the rising next generation leaders in family firms, to glean insights from three prominent Hénokiens family enterprise members - Yamamotoyama (Japan), A.E. Köchert (Austria), and Augustea (Italy). Engage with us as we discuss through case studies and panel dialogues to uncover some of the perennial questions such as:

  • How family enterprises transpire and entrench family values and cultures across generations?
  • How to inspire entrepreneurial spirit in the upcoming generations?
  • How do family enterprises create an innovation culture to stay competitive?
  • How to develop and implement growth strategy to integrate a new family member into the family business?
  • What are some of the strategic challenges to address during the different growth stages of the family business?
  • Lessons learnt from overcoming the Covid-19 pandemic and how these have further reinforced resilience of family enterprise?

The event is opened specifically for members of family businesses, INSEAD MBA students, the Hénokiens, FBN members, and member families of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO). Third-party service providers to family enterprises are welcome to attend at the invitation of a member of a family business to ensure an atmosphere of trust and confidentiality applying Chatham house rule.

Due to limited number of seats and to facilitate interactive exchange and networking among the attendees, the tickets to the event will be available on first come, first served basis and we encourage you to register as soon as possible to secure your booking.

For any additional information, feel free to contact us directly at [email protected] .

We are thankful to the Hénokiens Association for sponsoring this event.
