A Curriculum Designed Around Your Career Objectives

Delivered by both Tsinghua and INSEAD faculty, the TIEMBA is designed around several essential components: Core Courses, Elective Courses, Key Management Challenges and a Final Thesis. The programme is further strengthened by a distinctive Leadership Development Programme which runs throughout the course of study. Spanning over 22 months, the programme is taught across 4 campuses including in China. Throughout the programme’s courses you will learn business cultures and practices with East and West perspectives.

In addition to your time spent on campus, you will also need to allow time for independent study, pre-course preparation and post-course assignments. The TIEMBA programme’s modular format is specially designed to allow you to put new ideas and techniques straight into practice within your organisation.

Masterclass Topic: Sustainable Finance in 2026: Towards a More Pragmatic Approach

Synopsis:

In the decade since the Paris Agreement and the launch of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the integration of environmental and social considerations by banks, institutional investors, asset managers and other financial-sector participants has moved rapidly into the mainstream around the world. Key developments include the rise of ESG investing and green and sustainability-linked financing, commitments by many providers of capital to align their investment and lending portfolios with 1.5°C pathways in support of real-economy decarbonisation, and the rapid evolution of sustainability reporting frameworks and regulation for both businesses and financial institutions.

At the same time, concerns about hype, greenwashing and real-world effectiveness have intensified. ESG backlash, energy security, geopolitical tensions and shifting priorities are also testing the field. This masterclass will assess where sustainable finance stands in 2026, what it has delivered, where it has fallen short, and how it is evolving towards a more pragmatic and disciplined approach.

Masterclass Topic: Building a New Venture Team

Synopsis: Most professional investors and observers believe the quality of management is a critical factor to evaluate when assessing a new venture. Attracting high-quality people in an entrepreneurial context and melding them into a cohesive venture team is a challenging task. An important step in putting together a venture team that performs like magic involves thinking through team composition ahead of time. In this session, we examine how to plan for the composition of the venture team so as to minimise predictable tensions and conflicts and maximize the chances of building a solid organisation.

Case Study: Simplex Solutions – Expanding the Entrepreneurial Team

Registered participants will receive this case study prior to the event. Please ensure you read it in advance, as it provides the essential context for the masterclass discussion and will be referenced throughout the session.
