INSEAD Blue Ocean Strategy Institute

The INSEAD Blue Ocean Strategy Institute (IBOSI) is a central research hub of INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France, which is consistently ranked as one of the world’s leading and largest graduate business schools, bringing together people, cultures, and ideas to change lives and to transform organizations at both the graduate and executive levels. 

At INSEAD, IBOSI’s globally diverse Institute Fellows are dedicated to building on and extending the research on Blue Ocean Strategy, Blue Ocean Shift, Blue Ocean Leadership, and Beyond Disruption created by IBOSI’s Co-Directors and INSEAD Professors of Strategy, Chan Kim and Renée Mauborgne.

IBOSI pursues two core objectives: to make meaningful theoretical contributions to the fields of strategy, management, and innovation, and to enhance the performance of businesses, governments, and non-profits through the practical application of its research. Through pioneering research and teaching materials, IBOSI sets new standards for research and pedagogical excellence with real-world impact.  The Institute’s research streams encompass applications across the corporate, public, and social sectors, while also advancing the development of innovative pedagogical materials that bring and translate the theories of Blue Ocean Strategy and Leadership into impactful classroom learning.
