Growing up on the outskirts of São Paulo, Brazil, Sabrine learned early on the value of dedication and resilience. As a synchronized swimming athlete, she represented Brazil in international competitions for nearly a decade, becoming a two-time World Championship finalist, three-time South American Champion, and a multi-time Pan American and National medalist. The discipline and drive she developed through sport continue to shape her path to this day.
“Synchronized swimming prepared me in every way for life beyond the pool. It taught me discipline, patience, and how to fight for what I believe in. After all, excellence is not an act – it’s a habit. And in the end, the most important thing is to inspire others to be their best, so that together we can create a positive impact."
Balancing the demands of elite athletics with academic excellence, she earned a degree in Production Engineering in 2021. Her analytical mindset and drive for problem-solving naturally led her to the finance industry, where she discovered a calling for venture capital. Over four years, she played a key role in helping startups secure funding and expand internationally.
Beyond her professional ambitions, Sabrine has remained deeply committed to mentorship and social impact. After retiring from professional athletics, she began volunteering as a mentor and investor with Female Force LatAm, an NGO supporting women entrepreneurs across Latin America. She also co-founded a group that delivers water performances and educational initiatives, including free classes for INSPARA, an NGO that provides synchronized swimming opportunities for children and adults with disabilities. These experiences deepened her belief in the importance of lifting others as you climb.
Now, as an INSEAD MBA candidate, Sabrine is seizing every opportunity to grow, learn, and give back. Driven by her passion for nature and commitment to climate action, she is actively exploring projects that accelerate the energy transition through the adoption of low-carbon technologies.
She is also determined to use her experiences to support other high-potential leaders, particularly women in Latin America, by advocating for greater access to opportunities and scholarships.
“As a future INSEAD alumna and Forté fellow, my goal is to support other high-potential leaders, especially Latin-American female professionals, in qualifying for scholarships, emphasizing the belief that there are no barriers for those with ambitious dreams of positively impacting the world.”
Her journey reflects this belief. In 2024, she summited Mount Kilimanjaro, a symbolic and personal achievement that reinforced her philosophy: every challenge, no matter how daunting, can be overcome with perseverance, teamwork, and the right support. Today, as she immerses herself in INSEAD’s dynamic, global environment, Sabrine continues to push boundaries and redefine what is possible. Her story is not just one of personal success – it is an inspiration for future generations of leaders. A reminder that excellence, ambition, and opportunity can come together to create lasting impact.
