INSEAD launches Marketing & Sales Excellence Initiative (MSEI)

The premier global forum on Marketing & Sales Excellence practices for customer-centric leaders across industries and geographies

 

INSEAD, The Business School for the World, today announced the launch of its Marketing & Sales Excellence Initiative (MSEI). The Initiative combines the energies and talents of the school’s research and educational capabilities with INSEAD alumni and global professionals in marketing & sales roles. MSEI’s primary focus is to provide a global meeting point for senior executives to learn and create thought leadership, disseminate knowledge, and share best practices with peers among a strong network of business leaders and experts with a common interest in marketing & sales topics.

Initiated on INSEAD’s Fontainebleau campus, MSEI offers its members exclusive access to best and next practices in marketing & sales, and a safe environment for learning, connecting, sharing and networking with peers, via both online and in-person meetings.

Ziv Carmon, INSEAD Dean of Research and Alfred H. Heineken Chaired Professor of Marketing, says: “To us marketing is more than a function or a discipline; marketing is a way of looking at the world through the eyes of customers to see opportunities for sustainable profitable growth for a business in an ever-changing environment. MSEI’s mission is to make a real difference in how value is created and shared in market exchanges, relationships and networks between individuals, organisations, and society at large.”

Peter Zemsky, INSEAD Deputy Dean of Innovation and Eli Lilly Chaired Professor of Strategy and Innovation, adds: “The launch of MSEI is a great opportunity for INSEAD, as it brings together the knowledge from INSEAD faculty with real-life practices and experiences from our alumni and clients. But it also marks an innovative milestone in INSEAD’s development, as MSEI will be a fully subscription-based initiative, backed up by a number of member firms right from the start.”

MSEI is co-directed by Wolfgang Ulaga, Senior Affiliate Professor of Marketing, and Christoph Senn, Adjunct Professor of Marketing. MSEI’s target audience are top executives with an ambition to grow strategic marketing and sales capabilities and a motivation to network with experts and peers. MSEI will be supported by a distinguished advisory board of senior marketing & sales executives with roles such as Chief Commercial Officer, Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Sales Officer.

A first virtual Discovery Event on “Mastering the Subscription Economy” will be facilitated by Professor Wolfgang Ulaga, on April 22, 2021, together with Michel Mansard, Principal Director of Subscription Strategy at Zuora, Inc.
