AI TECH TALK at INSEAD Middle East Campus | The What & How of AI in Corporate Learning & Development

At our recent AI TECH TALK at the INSEAD Middle East Campus, we explored a critical question: What are the implications of AI for corporate learning and development, and how do we get there?

The session was led by Professor Peter Zemsky and featured a dynamic panel discussion.
It was a privilege to welcome to the stage:

  • H.E. Dr. Amna Al Mahri, Executive Director of Learning Enablement and Effectiveness Sector, Gov Academy, Department of Government Enablement
  • Zabna Omar, Vice President - Learning, Mubadala
  • Anahit Antonyan, Head of Executive Search and Recruitment, HR BP, Yango Group

Key insights included:
To lead in an AI-powered world, organisations must fundamentally rethink how learning happens. This means creating environments where curiosity, experimentation, and continuous adaptation are the norm.

  • Transform culture first
Build curiosity and understanding around AI
Frame it as a tool to augment human capability, not replace it
  • Drive change through influence
Use pull strategies to create genuine engagement
Communicate vision clearly and build organizational readiness over time
Co-create learning experiences with experts, collaborating across IT, HR and business units
  • Personalise learning at scale
Align training to real roles and immediate business needs
Leverage immersive formats like VR and AI-powered role-plays
Ensure equitable access across all functions and experience levels
  • Address job disruption head-on
Be transparent about inevitable workforce shifts
Emphasize reskilling upskilling, and strategic redeployment
  • Invest in human capabilities
Develop critical thinking, adaptability and AI fluency
Build learning strategies that enhance strategic decision-making

The event also featured 2 live AI demos, including a VR & AI immersive experience led by the INSEAD Immersive Learning Team.
