The GTCI report is published annually by INSEAD, the Business School for the World, in collaboration with the Portulans Institute (an independent, non-profit research and educational institute, based in Washington DC ).
The report is a comprehensive annual benchmarking report that measures how countries grow, attract and retain talent, the only index accredited by the EU. It provides a unique resource for decision makers to understand the global talent competitiveness picture and develop strategies to boost their economies. The 2023 report covers 134 countries across all income groups, and the 2024-25 report will be available in December 2025.
GTCI Advisory Committee: Javier Gimeno (Professor of Strategy); Maria Guadalupe (Professor of Economics); Winnie Jiang (Associate Professor of Organisational Behaviour), Alexandra Roulet (Associate Professor of Economics) and a representative of the Portulans Institute.
This year the eleventh edition will be presented at a global launch on the INSEAD Asia Campus in Singapore on Wednesday, 26 November, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
This year’s report includes a deep dive theme, ‘Talent & Resilience: Navigating an Era of Disruption'. In addition to the 2025 country rankings, the launch event will include discussions of the index’s key messages, with a particular focus on the Asia region. We will also unveil new elements in the GTCI, including indicators of AI, societal resilience, and soft skills.
