INSEAD launches AI-powered immersive LiveCases

Powered by Generative AI INSEAD’s new LiveCases are now available on INSEAD Publishing, offering a gamified platform for executive and leadership training, where interactive scenarios adapt instantly to participant decisions.

This combination of AI and immersive storytelling ensures LiveCases are flexible, measurable and scalable, delivering consistent quality whether for small teams or thousands of leaders.

Unlike traditional case studies, LiveCases place participants in the role of key decision makers through dynamic AIdriven chat simulations, tackling strategic problems and receiving instant, tailored feedback. Realtime analytics give instructors and participants immediate insight into performance and learning outcomes.

This allows participants to watch events unfold and navigate branching decision paths that force them to think critically, challenge assumptions and respond under pressure.

Along with VR experiences and AI-powered strategy tools, LiveCases are evidence of how INSEAD, the business school with campuses in France, Singapore, the UAE and the USA, is looking to transform management education through innovative learning tools.

“Education that is not tailored will fall behind,” says Lily Fang, Dean of Research and Innovation and Professor of Finance at INSEAD. “By combining AI with immersive storytelling, tools like LiveCases transform learning into an experience that is contextual and deeply engaging, giving participants a truly immersive learning experience that is practical, personalised and impactful. This is the future of management training.”

LiveCases were first pioneered in the Capstone course of INSEAD’s MBA degree programmes by Antoine Duvauchelle, an entrepreneur and Lecturer at INSEAD. They are now also a central part of INSEAD’s Master Programmes and Executive Education offerings.

“LiveCases are part of a broader vision to transform management education," says Duvauchelle. “They create a safe space for managers to experiment because real-world leadership requires trial, error and reflection. This is how leaders build the judgement and agility needed for complex challenges."

A number of INSEAD faculty including Felipe Monteiro, Atalay Atasu and Andrew Shipilov, who are leading experts in strategy, global markets and organisational behaviour, have developed LiveCases covering leadership, strategy, sustainability, finance and change management.

Currently, there are 12 LiveCases available on the INSEAD Publishing site, with five more in development.
