About the Scholarship: The Michele Pedercini MBA’92J Scholarship for Italian Talents was established in 2020 thanks to the generous support of a group of Michele’s friends, most of them his former classmates at INSEAD, who wanted to honour Michele’s memory after his premature passing. The mission of this scholarship is to support Italian talents with the potential to become future business leaders in the global economy. It is awarded to Italian MBA candidates who demonstrate personal leadership and a proven commitment to driving meaningful change. Their past professional and/or academic achievements are considered as a sign of their potential. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate a strong connection to Italy (education and /or professional experience in the country). The scholarship targets candidates who are not only ambitious and forward-thinking, but who have already taken steps to challenge the status quo in their communities or organizations. Recipients are expected to embody the values of innovation, resilience, and leadership. About Michele Pedercini (1964 – 2020): A graduate of Bocconi University with an MBA from INSEAD, Michele built a distinguished career as an investment banker at Banca IMI. He was admired for his sharp mind, strategic vision, and calm leadership. His success was the result of talent and dedication, but also of humility and respect for others. Beyond his achievements, Michele’s greatest gift was his kindness. He was deeply devoted to his friends, who adored him for his loyalty, warmth, and quiet generosity. He listened to, supported, and celebrated others with sincerity. Michele passed away at the age of 56 after a battle with colon cancer. He faced his illness with dignity and courage, never losing his grace. His memory lives on in the affection and gratitude of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
