Booking Your Academic Dress

You will need to share with Marstons your height and chest size. Gown hire is on offer for an earlybird price of 35 Euros until the online closing date of 13th June at 23:59 UTC+1.

Salamander Pin
-
You will receive a Salamander pin, a gift from INSEAD, to be fastened to the hood of your graduation gown. This Salamander pin is a reminder that you are now part of a global network of INSEAD Alumni.

Collecting and Returning Academic Dress

You can collect your gown on campus on 26 June and on the morning of 27 June – please book a slot here!
Do not forget you have to return you gown! The location where to do so will be indicated at the Chateau! All gowns are tagged with your name and this is used as proof of return; all hired items must be returned and are chargeable at retail price if lost or damaged.

Marston Events will install photo booths, including a 360 booth, to immortalise your graduation day!
Pre-order your graduation portrait photography here!
Photography usually takes place before and after the ceremony in Marstons Events’ studio area, closer to the graduation tent.
Photo booths will also be available on campus on June 26 and the morning of June 27!

Visa for graduates and their guests
In the frame of your INSEAD Graduation ceremony taking place at Fontainebleau this summer, we want to share the following immigration and visa information with you:
*non-exhaustive list and timing, additional required documents can differ according to French consulate and place of application, we recommend you consult and follow official France visa platform to get to know the exact list and timing.
- Check if you and/or your guest(s) will need a visa to enter France and to assist to your ceremony:
https://france-visas.gouv.fr/web/france-visas/assistant-visa - If you and/or your guests do not need a visa to enter France, please follow carefully the “your arrival in France” France visas’ recommendations:
https://france-visas.gouv.fr/en/web/france-visas/your-arrival-in-france - If you and/or your guests need a visa, INSEAD – Student Life will provide for you and the registered guests with the ceremony invitation letter justifying your coming, this letter will mention your names + guests’ names, confirmed place and confirmed time of the ceremony.
A short stay visa (type C) also called Schengen visa would be the fitted visa for entering France and attending the Graduation ceremony. - INSEAD – Student Life won’t be able to facilitate/fast tracking or fast processing your visa application. We recommend you to not wait for the last minute to apply for the required French visa. Summer is a high touristic season in France.
General timing: from 2 weeks to 5 weeks*
The final decision always belongs to the French authorities, evaluated, and based on the pieces of evidence you’ll provide and compliance with the requirements. - It will be up to applicants (you+ guests) to provide evidence on:
- Flight booking/ tickets*
- Accommodation*
- Travel insurance*
- Sufficient means*

- A ceremony invitation letter for you and/or guests will be sent to you shortly after you have completed a form which will be shared later.
The letter will only take back the information you submit, therefore please pay attention to the details you enter. After receiving the letter, if you find a mistake, we’ll invite you to complete again the form with information corrected. The letter will be issued under French visa application purposes and can *not* be used as a seat confirmation for your guests during the ceremony.
