This article is an initial attempt to classify the nature of transformations and specifically to look at the nature of transformation, which attempts to build more broadly adaptive, entrepreneurial organisations. The article is built on initial observations of companies that have undertaken regenerative transformations involving changes in their strategy, structure, process and behaviour. The authors set the frame for further research in which they hope to connect entrepreneurship, transformation and theory on change (punctuated equilibrium) and adaptive organisations.
