Biography

Hazel is a Lab Manager for the Centre for Organisational Research (COR) and Pre-Doctoral Research Associate. She is keen to gain knowledge in the field of organisational behaviour, especially in areas regarding workplace conflict due to power and cultural differences, overcoming the gap between knowing and doing, and facilitation of cross-departmental and inter-organisational collaboration. Through facilitating varied study requests made to COR, Hazel is eager to acquire the skills essential to conducting research, such as formulating workable logistical arrangements and being able to liaison with several key parties.

For Hazel’s Psychology undergraduate thesis, she carried out an online experimental study to investigate the impact of including restorative justice procedures on Singaporeans’ punitive attitudes. For her Economics undergraduate thesis, she collaborated with two team members to create a novel real-time, in-person economic game to study the impact of reputation and identity priming on insurance policy mis-selling behaviours. Both studies utilised quantitative methods of analysis.

She holds a B.Soc.Sc. in Economics and Psychology (Double Major) from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and graduated with Honours (Highest Distinction).
