Biography
Daniel Traca received his PhD in Economics from Columbia University. In September 2000, he moved from Fontainebleau to the campus in Singapore. He teaches in the MBA and Executive Education programs at INSEAD, in the fields of Public Policy for International Business, International Trade and Economic Policy in Emerging Markets.
Professor Traça's research focuses on the interaction between international market competition and innovation, and on the implications of globalization for labour markets. He has published several articles in academic journals and contributed to policy studies.
Previously, he has worked as a Research Fellow at the Central Bank in Portugal. He has also taught as a Visiting Professor in the KDI School of International Management and Policy, in Korea, and has worked as a consultant for The World Bank. Professor Traça started his career as a teaching and research assistant, at the New University of Lisbon, in Portugal.
