Stephen Ko is an Independent Non-Executive Director at publicly-listed Raymond Industrial Limited (0229.HK). He is a member of The Hong Kong Institute of Directors and The Hong Kong Independent Non-Executive Director Association. With a unique career that includes global executive roles at BASF, Linde, PTT GC, Stryker, and AspenTech, Stephen now provides strategic advice to executives and boards of international technology companies. He specializes in scaling organizations to achieve enhanced business performance, connectivity, innovation, and thus sustainability.
Stephen holds a chemical engineering degree from the University of Waterloo in Canada, an MBA from INSEAD in France, and a DBA from PolyU in Hong Kong. He has co-designed and delivered executive programs with effective educators such as INSEAD’s Phil Anderson on entrepreneurship and Stanford’s William Malek on disruptive strategies. Additionally, he has guided leaders at BASF, PTT GC, and PolyU on fostering collaborative innovation within disrupted value chains.
Since graduating from INSEAD in June 1990, Stephen has been actively involved in alumni engagement and fundraising efforts in Fontainebleau, Singapore, and Hong Kong. He particularly enjoyed contributing to the team efforts for the Hong Kong INSEAD Asia Alumni Forum in 2017, the Force for Good Business Awards in 2021, and supporting fundraising campaigns for Force for Good, the Singapore Campus’s Leadership Development Centre in 2015 and North Asian Scholarships in 2022.
