Chief Executive, Abdon Mills (Helsingborg, Sweden) & Chairman of the Board, Grain Millers, Inc. (Minneapolis, USA).
Rolf Abdon grew up in Sweden and after completion of military service studied at the University of Lund. He graduated in 1967 from the Faculty of Law as LlB (Juris Kandidat) and from the Faculty of Business Management as MSc (Civilekonom). After two years in Toronto, Canada, he attended INSEAD, where he received a MBA in 1970. He was recruited at INSEAD to work in corporate banking in Geneva, Switzerland.
He left Geneva in 1976 to become a founder of Abdon Mills, which is active in grain processing in the Nordic countries. In 1986 he established Grain Millers, Inc. in the US, which has become a leading US speciality grain milling company. Rolf shares his time between the offices in Helsingborg, Sweden, and Minneapolis, USA.
Rolf Abdon was a member of the Board of INSEAD and Chairman of INSEAD Alumni Fund. He is now Vice Chairman of the INSEAD International Council, member of the INSEAD Advisory Council and member of the Swedish National Council.
He is married to Anna and they have four daughters.
