CEO of Statkraft AS
Birgitte Ringstad Vartdal is the President and CEO of Statkraft, Europe’s largest producer of renewable energy and Norway’s largest power producer. She was previously EVP Nordics and EVP Europe in Statkraft. She has long experience from shipping, latest as CEO and CFO of Golden Ocean Group Ltd. Mrs. Vartdal has extensive board experience from both industry and food chain business, such as Mowi, Yara and Seadrill. She has a MSc in Financial Mathematics from Heriott-Watt University in Scotland and MSc in Statistics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
