When the class of MBA’10J came together for their 15-year reunion in June 2025, it achieved something remarkable: a record-breaking 85% class participation rate and €880,643 raised. In recognition of this extraordinary collective effort, the TenJay Bar on the Asia Campus was named in honour of the class.
Ji Hoon Lee played a major role in that success. But for him, giving back did not stop there. Inspired by INSEAD’s vision for the Europe Campus Re-imagination, he has now pledged an additional €1 million to help bring the project to life.
“I had the chance to sit down with Dean Francisco Veloso at our class reunion in June 2025,” Ji Hoon says. “And when I heard about the Europe Campus Re-imagination, I knew that I wanted to continue contributing for future students.”
Ji Hoon’s generous gift is a significant contribution to this ambitious initiative. The project has a simple but grand ambition: to create spaces that reflect INSEAD’s mission. In a world marked by geopolitical tension, social fragmentation and accelerating technological change, the Europe Campus Re-imagination is an opportunity for INSEAD to strengthen an environment that fosters dialogue and collaboration, helping future leaders develop not only the knowledge, but also the human connection needed to bridge differences and lead in an increasingly complex world.
Ji Hoon’s loyalty as a donor comes from the experience he had as a student. “I had a wonderful experience at INSEAD: it's a truly special place. The friends I made, the people I met from diverse backgrounds really opened my mind.”
For Ji Hoon, the sense of community and the energy on campus are central to the INSEAD experience. “I hope that the Campus Re-imagination can help to maintain that energy for future students, the future leaders in business and society,” he explains.
Ji Hoon also believes that his time at the school gave him the confidence to embrace new challenges throughout his career. “INSEAD really helps give you the experience and confidence that students in their early and mid-careers need to jump into completely unfamiliar spaces. And that's what I've done in my businesses. INSEAD has helped me to navigate and find opportunities,” he says.
Now, he hopes his gift will encourage others to step forward as well. Inspired by conversations with fellow alumni, Ji Hoon wants to help build momentum for the Europe Campus Re-imagination and invite others to be part of it.
As part of Giving Day 2026, he has generously agreed to support a Campus Renewal Challenge. Once gifts to Campus Renewal reach €100,000, Ji Hoon will unlock a further matching gift of €100,000.
As he explains, “I really hope that together, we can help renew the campus spaces that spark dialogue and connection, and that meant so much to me as a student.”
INSEAD is deeply grateful for alumni like Ji Hoon, whose loyalty, generosity and belief in the school’s mission help create lasting impact for future generations.
