INSEAD Scholarships

Scholarship List and Criteria

 

Once you have submitted an application to the GEMBA programme and have proceeded to the interview stage of the admissions process, you can apply for a scholarship.  Scholarship applicants need to be self-funded or partially sponsored to a maximum of 50%.  Please refer to the individual scholarship descriptions for further details.

You can apply for up to two scholarships. Successful candidates generally do not accumulate the awards.

The INSEAD GEMBA seeks motivated women in businesses who demonstrate significant achievements in their professional lives.

Participants need to be self-funded or partially sponsored to a maximum of 50%.

Up to one month prior to the start of the programme. Application(s) will be reviewed within 2 weeks.

This scholarship will be awarded to talented and dynamic individuals whose background, work experience and personal profiles will contribute to the unique learning experience on the GEMBA Programme.

The INSEAD GEMBA seeks to identify individuals with proven entrepreneurial record and commitment to entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurial potential will be assessed, and preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate financial need.

Participants need to be self-funded or paying through their own company.

This scholarship aims to encourage and help those from atypical backgrounds attend the INSEAD GEMBA Programme. We seek motivated leaders working in public service, NGOs, not-for-profit and educational institutions, scientists, journalists, medical practitioners, military officers, architects, etc.

Financial need will also be factored in the evaluation process.

Participants need to be self-funded or partially sponsored to a maximum of 50%.

The INSEAD GEMBA Financial Fellowships will be granted to participants of any nationality who demonstrate significant difficulty in raising sufficient finances for the INSEAD GEMBA Programme and may be limited in accessing loans. Participants must be self-funded and demonstrate proven financial need.

Abu Dhabi Executive Fellowships will be awarded based on merit to candidates of any nationality whose background, work experience and personal profiles will bring unique diversity to INSEAD.

Application deadline:

Round 1: 15 April 2019
2 awards of USD30,000 to be announced end April 2019

Round 2: 20 August 2019
2 awards of USD30,000 to be announced early September 2019

Two scholarships up to 100% of the fees will be on offer for Emirati nationals admitted to the GEMBA Middle East section. Candidates should demonstrate outstanding professional and personal achievements and promise.

Candidates for the INSEAD GEMBA Alumni Scholarship for Women should exhibit exemplary leadership as well as involvement in issues related to the advancement of women.

Participants need to be self-funded and part of the Europe section. 

A successful candidate for the Alumni Scholarship for Women award will not cumulate it with other scholarship(s) received.

Professional Women’s Network (PWN) Global stands for advancing women in leadership by sharing knowledge, best practices, tools and techniques through mentoring, events and networking.

Criteria:

PWN Global Fellowship applicants should exhibit exemplary leadership in one or more ways:

  • academic achievements
  • team leadership
  • community involvement
  • capacity for creativity

Eligibility:

All INSEAD EMBA applicants (male or female) are eligible to apply for the INSEAD PWN Global Fellowship. They must have a valid and fully paid PWN Association membership for at least six months at the time of application, regardless of the chapter.

Participants need to be self-funded or partially sponsored to a maximum of 50%.

How to Apply for a Scholarship

 

You will find a link to upload the forms in your Admissions Portal iApply. The Financial Profile Form must be submitted for all scholarships. It will serve as a background for all applications if you apply for more than one scholarship. Please note that you can only upload PDF files with a size of up to 1MB.

Step 1: Review the scholarships on offer and their eligibility criteria. Identify the scholarship(s) you would like to apply for.


Step 2: Download your selected scholarship application (maximum two), write your essay and save it under your name (Lastname_firstname_programme_name_class_section_name of scholarship).


Step 3: Download the financial profile form, fill it in and save it under your name (Lastname_firstname_programme_name_class_section_financial profile).

Step 4: Upload your financial profile form together with your scholarship application(s) on INSEAD iApply.


Application Deadline:

Up to one month prior to the start of the programme. Please note that GEMBA Alumni Scholarship for Women and Abu Dhabi Executive Fellowship have their own set of deadlines.

Review Process:

If you apply following your admission to the programme, we will communicate the decision to you within two weeks after you have applied for scholarships.

If you apply at the interview stage, we will communicate the decision to you within two weeks following the admission.

Awards:

  • The scholarship award across all sections (Asia, Middle East, Europe) averages at 10% of the tuition fee.
  • 43% of the Class of 2019 received an INSEAD scholarship.
  • Scholarships are deducted from the last instalment of tuition fees.
