Biography

Professor Claudia Zeisberger is one of the best networked figures in the private capital space, combining deep academic expertise with over 35 years of experience in financial markets. As a professor at INSEAD, she teaches all things related to private capital, and as the founder of INSEAD’s Global Private Equity Initiative (GPEI), she has helped shape the school’s reputation in Private Equity and Venture Capital.

An active investor in startups as well as private equity primary, secondary, and founder-focused funds, Claudia also serves as an advisor to boards, leadership teams, and governments. She brings seasoned judgement, independent perspective, and candour to her role as a self-described “Professional Devil’s Advocate.”

Claudia is a founding member of KKR’s Sustainability Expert Advisory Council (SEAC) and serves on the advisory boards of Standard Chartered Ventures (SCV), Linzor Capital, KaizenVest, and S4Learning. She is also the founder of 5 Quadrants, a research and risk advisory firm.

Widely recognized for her teaching excellence, she has received INSEAD’s Best Teaching Award for the Private Equity elective three years running and has been on the Dean’s List for Excellence in Teaching every year since 2008. She is also the author of the best-selling book ‘Mastering Private Equity’ (now in its second edition) and a sought-after speaker at the intersection of finance, innovation, and risk.
