INSEAD is seeking an Accountant General Ledger to join our Finance department. This is a full time and temporary 8 months contract position to be based at our Europe Campus in Fontainebleau, France.
About the Job
Reporting to the Global Manager General Ledger (based in Singapore), you will be responsible for supporting the General Ledger team on general operations and transactions, GL book-keeping, bank entries and reconciliation. In addition, you will also assist on tax filing and preparations.
Your Responsibilities
- Assist GL accountant with Fixed Assets checks and reconciliation
- Check and prepare VAT filing for French entities under the supervision of the GL Tax senior accountant
- Assist Senior GL accountant for ad-hoc GL entries
- Assist in Administrative duties
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in Accounting & Finance – General Ledger in an SME or an accounting firm (for those with a BAC + 2 diploma in Accounting & Finance) OR 5 years experience (for those with diploma only)
- At ease with computer system tools (Office Pack, Excel, Oracle)
- Experience in Tax filing, especially VAT filing
- Good level in English highly recommended but not mandatory
- Operational immediately
- Rigorous, autonomous and proactive; good team player
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Adaptable, organised and able to prioritise work requirements
