Biography

Ximena Medina is a Pre-Doctoral Researcher at the Organisational Behaviour department of INSEAD.

She holds a bachelor's degree in Economics with a concentration in Economics for the Public Sector from Universidad del Pacífico (Peru) and a Research Master in Sociology and Demography from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Spain). Her research areas are mainly public policy, development and inequality, with special emphasis on the education and health sectors.

She has previously worked in the Prime Ministry Office of Peru, where she focused in the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the national infrastructure affected by El Niño costero (natural phenomenon that severely hit several regions of Peru in 2017), and in consulting firms centered in the promotion, design and implementation of effective public policies.

Since 2016, Ximena belongs to the General Corps of Volunteer Firefighters of Peru, an institution where she currently holds the rank of Captain.
