Junfei joined INSEAD as a postdoc researcher in July 2023. He earned a Ph.D. in operations management from the University of Washington at Seattle and a master’s degree in applied math from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Before receiving his Ph.D., Junfei worked on stochastic modeling at the University of Washington and as a research scientist on data-driven optimization in the last-mile delivery group at Amazon.
At INSEAD, Junfei is currently working on sustainability operations management, focusing on waste management and platform operations on ESG ratings. Junfei’s research interests include sustainable operations management, social-centric supply chain management, circular manufacturing, and data-driven optimization.
