Xi explores whether and how the organizational adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) impacts the Future of Work, strategy and organization. She collaborates closely with firms to investigate the research questions using both quantitative methods and randomized field experiments, complimented by qualitative methods. Her research has received funding from the Strategic Research Foundation (SRF) Dissertation Research Grant and Desmarais Fund for Research in AI.
Xi earned a Bachelor's degree in Risk Management from Nankai University, a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from the University of Canterbury, and a Master's degree in Economics from the University of British Columbia. Prior to academia, Xi co-founded a consulting firm.
