Francesco Loredan MBA’85J gives €1m to strengthen entrepreneurship
This gift will have a wide-ranging impact, benefitting INSEAD’s entire community of entrepreneurs – more than half of the school’s alumni participate in some type of entrepreneurial venture in their career. It will give the school increased flexibility to channel funds that will enhance its entrepreneurial expertise across all activities, advancing INSEAD’s leadership position in this field.
In particular, this €1 million gift will boost the activities of the Rudolf and Valeria Maag INSEAD Centre for Entrepreneurship (ICE), which focuses on accelerating the entrepreneurial ambitions of INSEAD students and alumni. It will amplify ICE’s capabilities to support new projects for the school’s global community of entrepreneurs and further strengthen this strategic area of focus for the school.
Philip Anderson, The INSEAD Alumni Fund Chaired Professor of Entrepreneurship and Academic Director of the Rudolf and Valerie Maag INSEAD Centre for Entrepreneurship (ICE), commented that: “Francesco believes that education is key to development, growth, and the preservation of values that he and INSEAD hold dear. We’re grateful that he has chosen to make a meaningful difference in the world by supporting the education of entrepreneurs who share his bond with INSEAD.”
Francesco Loredan MBA’85J, Founding Partner of White Bridge Investments, shared that: “I chose to give to INSEAD because it had such a huge impact on my life. My wish is to give others the opportunity to benefit from such a unique experience. I consider education in entrepreneurship essential to foster development and growth. We thus need to equip talent with the knowledge to look beyond, to create new activities, jobs, wealth and to build the future.”
